1. Introduction

Benzai ("we," "our," or "us") is owned and operated by Aiden Casillas. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit benzaiservices.com, contact us, book a call, or use a system we build or operate.

2. Covered services

This policy applies to:

• The Benzai website (benzaiservices.com), including its contact form and booking page
• AI receptionist, chatbot, speed-to-lead, and custom systems we build and operate for clients
• SMS/text messaging communications sent by Benzai

3. Information we collect

We collect information in these ways:

• Contact form: the name, email address, phone number, business type, and message you enter. This is emailed to our inbox and kept there.
• Booking: the scheduling page is provided by Calendly, which collects the details you enter under its own privacy policy and shares the booking with us.
• SMS/phone opt-in data: when you tick the consent box on our form or otherwise opt in, we record your mobile number, the date and time of consent, and the wording you agreed to.
• Conversations with systems we operate: calls and messages handled by an AI receptionist or chat agent are transcribed and logged so the business you contacted can follow up. The business that deployed the system controls that data; we process it on their behalf.
• Usage data: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

4. How we use your information

We use it to:

• Reply to you, prepare for a call you booked, and send a written scope if you ask for one
• Provide, operate, and improve the systems we build for clients
• Send SMS/text messages such as appointment reminders, call summaries, and service updates, only with your prior express consent
• Detect, prevent, and fix technical and security issues
• Meet legal obligations

5. SMS/text messaging and opt-in

When you give us your phone number and opt in to receive SMS/text messages from Benzai, you consent to receive non-promotional texts related to our services: appointment confirmations and reminders, call and conversation summaries, follow-ups to your enquiry, and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.

• Opt-out: reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again.
• Help: reply HELP to any message, email getbenzai@gmail.com, or call (562) 322-7763.
• No sharing of SMS opt-in data: we will not sell, rent, lease, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your SMS opt-in data is used only by Benzai to deliver the messaging you consented to. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Information sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who work on our behalf, such as hosting (Vercel), email delivery (Resend), scheduling (Calendly), and the telephony and AI platforms that run the systems we build. They may use your data only to provide the service to us.
• With the client business whose receptionist or chat agent you contacted, so they can follow up with you.
• When required by law or a valid request from a public authority.
• As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.

7. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We keep contact-form emails and booking records for as long as needed to respond to you and run the engagement, then delete them on request. Conversation logs from systems we operate are retained according to the client's agreement. SMS consent records are kept for as long as required to demonstrate consent.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict how we process it
• Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link, and out of SMS by replying STOP
• Receive a portable copy of your data

To exercise any of these, email getbenzai@gmail.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising their rights; we do not sell personal information.

10. Age restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services, including the SMS/text messaging program. If we learn we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. If we add tools that collect more (a live chat, analytics, a client portal), this page will say so before they go live.
